Bathtub Test for Mental Health ~
During a visit to the mental asylum, Guy asked the Director what the criterion was which defined whether or not a patient should be institutionalised.
'Well,' said the Director, 'we fill up a bathtub, then we offer a teaspoon, a teacup, and a bucket to the patient and ask him or her to empty the bathtub.'
'Oh, I understand,' said Guy. 'A normal person would use the bucket because it's bigger than the spoon or teacup.'
'No.' said the Director, 'A normal person would pull the plug. (Pause) Guy, do you want a bed near the window?'

Research indicates that Genius cannot exist without mental disorder - George Orwell and Lewis Carroll suffered autism. While Hans Christian Andersen and Mozart almost certainly suffered from Asperger's syndrome. Those suffering from Asperger's syndrome often have artistic creativity, as well as mathematical genius.

** Neurotics build castles in the air.
** Psychotics live in them.
** Psychiatrists are the people who collect the rent.

24th Aug 2011 Sinpa Of €86,000 From Briatore's Disco

Aug 24AA
Sinpa is the term meaning leaving an establishment (restaurant, bar, disco...) without paying the bill. The one of €86,000 unpaid bill was the consummation of 92 bottles of Champagne 'Cristal', by 3 boys and 3 girls, all Russian, in the club-disco owned by the Italian billionaire Playboy of Formula, Flavio Briatore, in coast of CerdeƱa.

As much a scandal of the swindle was that it means each of the 6 Russian youths had drunk 15 bottles!!!

Once done with the drunken revelry, The young group decided to leave without paying the bill, marking the highest Sinpa in the history, right under the nose of Briatore, adducing that the Commandant of the yacht 'Kismet' which had just arrived would take care of the bill - something common in soirees of millionaires.

The media says today 'The police are searching for them; no trace yet ...'! It may not be any consolation, but Flavio Briatore can well afford it.
Flavio Briatore
I think he looks so miserable not because of that huge sum of money to all the rest of us, but the fact that He had been Taken for a ride this time.

The Castle Of Cards ~

The American architect Bryan Berg has entered the 'Guinness Book of Records', not for any outstanding or most unusual design or features of a building, though fabulous building it was. No easier than a building of concrete and steel; it's the biggest one built with naipes. It's in fact the Venecian-Macau Hotel Resort, for which he had used 218,792 cards, completed in 44 days, recreating with major fidelity of that building, weighing 272 kilos, measures 11 metres long and 3 metres high.

He has turned this hobby into his profession, earning a living putting cards one on top of another, to create constructions of anything commissioned, without ever using any glue or anything else to keep the cards steady and together. Quite incredible trick/skill, don't you think?

Fate Of The Polar Bears ~

These mother and baby bears are floating on an iceberg, at 20 kilometres from the nearest coast of Svalbard (Norway). They huddled together, the baby being comforted by the mother, who is surveying the horizon no doubt hoping to reach soon somewhere safer. The future seems bleak and uncertain, but experts say such cases usually resolve with the bears coming out of it unharmed.

Let's hope so, for their sake. And for ours.
