Life really boils down to 2 questions for many ...

1. Should I get a dog? Or ...

2. Should I have children?

Just to let you know that I am thinking of you today, my friends ...

No matter what situations life throws at you,

No matter how long and treacherous your journey may seem ...

Remember there's a light at the end of the Tunnel.

I hope you're laughing now aren't you?

That's good then my job here is done!

Have a great day, everyone, and don't forget to give thanks.

Only 2 out of dozens of magazines in Spain, generally referred to as 'Prensa Rosa' (The 'pink press', the Tabloid/Gossip variety of news) briefly mentioned the very recent and on-going scandal, the judicial investigation involving Inaki Urdangarin, son-in-law of Carlos, King of Spain. It seems that the use of earthly expressions such as 'diversion of public funds' could stain the luxurious and elegant pages, not to mention the protagonist being of the royal family.

These same magazines have no shame at all glorifying the dictators, the corrupted, opportunists, hangers-on of celebrities or, worse, disclosing their private lives and their children. Hinting or exaggerating whatever they do that might be construed as scandal, showing their magnificent mansions and sensationalizing their extravagant private parties; making no difference to them whether the images were wild revelry or debauchery, or of an oppressor stained with blood on a visit to Spain. At the bottom of the page, the usual comment from the editors are always about their ultra expensive wardrobe, the diamonds and rubies exhibited by their wives.

Ostentatious luxury without tabu, and show-window of society's winners whose main merit being their wealth or outrageous, publicity seeking antics. These magazines play a marvellous alienating roll making people adore, without any question, all those who move the power strings. With admiration and certain envy, the public follow perpetuating the prestigious cast.
