The Smallest Book In The World ~
It's almost lost from sight when held in a man's palm. It measure merely 5 millimetre high by 6 millimetre of thickness. It's the Bible exhibited in Havana and had begun to commercialise for some time. Together with this miniature Bible the same editorial also exhibited the world's largest book of 150 pages, 4 metre high, 2.50 metre wide, and it weighs 230 kilos.

The Smallest BookThe Tiniest Panda
The Tiniest Panda ~
Certainly the tiniest I have ever seen! The Mama Panda was carefully and lovingly tending her just born baby, a minute little creature yet the biggest in weight ever born of this species. It was the result of an artificial insemination with success in Shaanxi, China. It weighs 206 grams, more than twice heavier than average in this type of Panda according to experts. It's a miracle of life, and Pandas are at present in great danger of extinction, owing to difficulty of reproduction in captivity and the destruction of their natural habitat.

This photo was taken in Paris where she was working after making quite a name for herself in Britain, now conquering the French with her mixture of old school as well as electronic rhythms. Also preparing a 'Single'.

Oldest DJLargest Crab

The World's Largest Crab ~

It's pincers (or clamps) are stronger than the jaws of a crocodile. A carer in the National Centre of Marine Life in Birmingham, held in his hands a very impressive 'Spider Crab', the biggest in the world. The legs are 1.5 metre long, fully extended can reach the total diameter of 4 metres, but a very small head. Another detail, they are blind! But with very sensitive hearing and hair that can sense submarine sounds and waves.

* American Army Soldier Yarn ~
Fifty-one years ago, Herman James, a North Carolina mountain man, was drafted by the Army.
On his first day in basic training, the Army issued him a comb.
That afternoon the Army barber sheared off all his hair.

On his second day, the Army issued Herman a toothbrush.
That afternoon the Army dentist yanked seven of his teeth.

On the third day, the Army issued him a jock strap.
The Army has been looking for Herman for 51 years.

* Apparently a true story ~
Marine Corps General Reinwald was interviewed on the radio concerning guns and children. This is a portion of an American National Public Radio (NPR) interview between a female interviewer and US Marine Corps General Reinwald who was about to sponsor a Boy Scout Troop visiting his military installation:

FEMALE INTERVIEWER: So, General Reinwald, what things are you going to teach these young boys when they visit your base?
GENERAL REINWALD: We're going to teach the Boy Scouts climbing, canoeing, archery and shooting.
FEMALE INTERVIEWER: Shooting! That's a bit irresponsible, isn't it?
GENERAL REINWALD: I don't see why, they'll be properly supervised on the rifle range.
FEMALE INTERVIEWER: Don't you admit that this is a terribly dangerous activity to be teaching children?
GENERAL REINWALD: I don't see how. We will be teaching them proper rifle discipline before they even touch a firearm.
FEMALE INTERVIEWER: But you're equipping them to become violent killers.
GENERAL REINWALD: Well, you're equipped to be a prostitute, but you're not one, are you?
The radio went silent and the interview ended.

* Footnote - Confession time ~
The saga of General Reinwald is an urban myth. Internet archaeologists have traced this funny army back to a Welsh broadcast with a scout master in 1997. As with all good stories, in the intervening years it has been adapted and Americanised.
