5th Aug 2011 Anybody Lost 3 Houses?

Aug 05C
Obviously somebody did. There are 3 houses built with wood, simple but good work and erected in the middle of a thickly wooded area, almost a forest. for 4 or 5 years now they had never been occupied or used for any other purpose. Someone had taken a lot of trouble, time and money building theses houses, yet for whatever peculiar reason they seem to be abandoned or, absurdly, forgotten!

If you own theses house but forgotten where they are, they are situated in the municipal stretch of Pals, in the urbanization Mas Tomasi, in the district of Vine, Spain.

A friend sent me this pic today saying that's MoiMoii at work. So I thought it should top the list of Sarcastic Humour.

  • If all is not lost, where is it?
  • The first rule of holes: If you are in one, stop digging.
  • It was all so different before everything changed. It's hard to make a comeback when you haven't been anywhere.
  • The only time the world beats a path to your door is if you're in the bathroom.
  • An unbreakable toy is useful for breaking other toys.
  • A closed mouth gathers no feet.
  • It's not hard to meet expenses...they're everywhere.
  • The only difference between a rut and a grave is the depth.
  • Old people shouldn't eat health foods. They need all the preservatives they can get.
  • It's hard to make a comeback when you haven't been anywhere.

5th Aug 2011 Giggles - An Old Joke With An Older Origin

Aug 05A
I just received this from Will & Guy. It's because of the older joke (the original) I re-post this old joke. Did I explain clearly?
** Good Hunting? **
Two hunters are out in the woods in New Jersey when one of them collapses. He doesn't seem to be breathing and his eyes are glazed. The other guy whips out his 'phone and calls the emergency services. He gasps, 'My friend is dead! What can I do?'
The operator says, 'Calm down, I can help. First, let's make sure he's dead.'
There is a silence, then a shot is heard. Back on the phone, the guy says, 'OK, now what?'
** Professor says 'Good Hunting' is the world's funniest joke**
Professor Wiseman explained to BBC Radio 5 News, "There is some very rare footage from 1951 showing the Goons in their first TV appearance. Just by chance I saw it on a documentary and saw a version of the very same hunter joke."
The script reads: ~
Michael Bentine: I just came in and found him lying on the carpet there.
Peter Sellers: Oh, is he dead?
Bentine: I think so.
Sellers: Hadn't you better make sure?
Bentine: All right. Just a minute.
Sound of two gun shots.
Bentine: He's dead.
"It is very rare to be able to track down the origin of any joke but this is an exception," said Professor Wiseman.

5th Aug 2011 The Garden Of Delights

Aug 05
Each summer The Casino Castell of Peralada in Roses has a festival of all kinds of wonderful entertainment on stage in their very large and beautiful garden of this castle, just 20 minutes drive from my house. They are mostly musical performances, concerts, cabarets, mini operas, ballets and, always, with famous international stars, musicians, singers and other performing artists, and always in the open air under the stars in the luscious garden.

The one premièred there night before last was the 'Garden of Delights', inspired by the painting (below) of El Bosco, famous Dutch artist (1450-1518), which, in it's day, was considered sacrilegious, desecrating the holy, and which gave the title to the show. Directed by the very famous Spanish choreographer Blanca Li, who said she had all her life been fascinated by this painting, imaginative, mesmerising, sensual and suggestive. So was Li's interpretation. She fathomed the obsessions and fantasies of the human beings, bringing the painting to vivid and throbbing life.

The left side of the painting was dedicated to the creation of the world; the right centred on Hell, while the one in the centre was centred on carnal pleasures.
