Pursued by avid collectors as unexpected rare jewels, the
very old models of watches are being exhibited during the Madrid Fashion Week.
It's a fantasy parade of painters, designers and artists that have collaborated
with the Swiss firm, Swatch. Known for their defence of common material
transformed into stunning art pieces, enriched and rendered artistic with
colours and unique designs by the century old watch maker.
This collection of 25 antique watches, from the first model, mythical and the only one, the Jelly Fish, to the models created by, amongst others, the provocative fashion designer Vivienne Westwood, the film maker and director Almodovar, the industrial designer Alessandro Mendini, the painter Eduado Arroyo and, no less, Pablo Picasso.
