The Curious Footprints ~
It almost seems supernatural; the fact is that Hua Chi, a Chinese monk who lives in the Temple of Tongren, China, meditates since as a child and now very old and revered man, has spent everyday of his long life coming and going on the same spot of the Monastery, hundreds of thousands of times each day, he had left his footprints on the wooden floor. In some parts, the depth of these prints, are up to 3 centimetres!FootprintsOld Monk

The Sleepbox ~
Just been invented an ingenious yet rather simple solution for people who had to sleep, but find themselves far away from home or even from hotels, or for lack of time or money to do so, or just need a bit of a shut-eye in comfort and privicy ... a perfectly adequate and fairly comfortable box to sleep in, at airports when a prolonged delay happens, or just about anywhere else if necessary. Sort of a cupboard, of 1,4 metre wide, 2 metres long and 2,3 the height. The bed is of compound polymer feather and paper paste, that changes the 'bedsheet' automatically. To be rented by the hour(s).

The Astute Thief ~

Not sure how he managed it, but the fact is this astute little guy is leaving the birds without the food specially put out there in this curiously designed 'food cage', by the kind people of the property. This photo was taken in Austin, Texas, by the photographer Bruce Lemons, who happened to pass there and caught the thief red 'handed' in full force of his task.

He hang himself upside-down (the squirrel, not the photographer) the long & deep hollow of the device, no doubt built with the purpose of stopping unlawful intruders stealing the bird feed. The plate glass up front only barely reached the top of the leg of the squirrel, but he let himself slide in, head down, thus getting his loot, free but not exactly easy. I almost feel he deserved it had I been able to forget the birds for a few seconds.

The Mind Game ~
These funny looking, costume party type of cat ears were invented in Japan (where else?) called 'Nekonimi'. There are no batteries, only special sensors that would capture the activities of the mind. They detect the active brain-waves, which is to say the bio-electric that flows through the brain. The ears change positions; they raise up when the person is concentrating and come down when the person is relaxed. The thinking ears!

It's believed that in the future, the brain-waves will open up for us a never thought possible world of applications, revolutionizing the communication between human and the machines. Such theory and experiments have been on the go for some time; it just looks that it's getting nearer to the goal, for better or worse.
