24 Hands Piano Performance - Unusual Concert Video

Washington Conservatory at TEDMED 2013 conducts a 24 Hands Piano Performance that I enjoyed watching since I think playing a piano with two hands is challenging enough. The creativity and musical skill on display here is simply amazing. 24 Hands Piano is like a musical massage for the Steinway piano.

Are You On The List?

We are definitely living in the era of lists. There's a list about every topic and everything. Those of the richest (speciality of Forbes), the most influential (courtesy of Time), the most glamorous (according to Vanity Fair), the best dressed or the worst, the sexiest, the most successful, the most read, most seen .... or the opposite of all those. If you are not amongst the first 50 of any of those lists, you can count yourself as a Nobody. You don't exist. Not in the eyes of the media or the public. Worst still, of yourself.

From the Oscar of Hollywood to Cannes, there are lists, people destined to be known, looked at, admired, envied. A new culture of the modern times that creates hierarchy, prestige, and market value. References, models of conduct. Money.

Even sport. The plus is measured in medals and in the multitudes of adoring fans. Same as in the music world. There's ranking of faces that day after day appeared in print, in TV screens, the powerful factory of the famous and the familiarities of the world.

The phenomenon extends to authors of the bestsellers, prize winning star architects, artists with airs and graces, top models, Nobel winners of local or global prestige ... There are star judges too, and superstar delinquents like the fabulous Bernard Madoff, the no less infamous veteran T. Boone Pickens or the Monster of Amsterdam ... The Internet today offers indispensable and multiple variants of the listed celebrities of fame, or shame, references aspire to be so in the whole of the planet.

In the section of politics, there are the G-8, the G-20 and the 27 of UE. The directives of the Commission of ONU, with lists of personalities destined to leave their marks in history. The rest of the directives also have their own hit-parade, their degree of 'danger' level. List after lists, for the 6,000 millions of inhabitants of the planet, who look upon these celebrities as a constellation of references of the spectacular style of the world. They are the mirror in which people look to find themselves.
