In
my childhood years, unlike many other contemporaries, I rarely read
comic strips or magazines; there were always distractions like pop
music, movies, fashion and later, Boys!
Now
though, I am fascinated with a lot of what might be collectively
termed 'oldies' of all kinds: B/W movies including the silent ones,
'crooners' of the 40's and 50's, even those earlier than that; vintage
fashion, very old or very dead celebrities, biographies of famous
people each with his/her outstanding achievements or merits, and, yes,
comic strips that have kept in different degree their worth and
popularity, like for instance, 'Little Charlie and Snoopy', by author
Charles M. Schulz.
An
entertaining anthology in Spanish just published here in Spain, to
commemorate the 60th anniversary of the many amusing adventures of that
funny looking boy with a big head, and his inseparable, philosophical
dog Snoopy, translated so far in 21 languages.
Happy Birthday Snoopy
