I
have been sorting out my old Blogs for the past 5 years (originally on
Yahoo's 360), throwing out some and keeping others re-posting here to
group them together in one place. This is one of them.
" With Kienzle You are at home anywhere! " So says the advertisement.
I
was running a modelling agency at the time as well as training models
and being one myself. Kienzle was a very well known Swiss firm that
makes clocks & watches. I was asked to be the image of their
advertising campaign, amongst other publicity activities, to appear with
a large wall clock of theirs, sitting down with my head against the
clock "lovingly". Now how can any one really look and feel "loving" at a
clock beats me.
I
counter-suggested putting the clock up somehow on a rock in the wild,
with greenery to hang it up, me in evening wear & high heels,
totally incongruous with the setting. Then the above slogan as the only
text. They approved delightedly, this picture was the result.
Needless to say, I charged them handsomely for advertisement design on top of my modelling fee.
