We lost Dr. House but gain a Blues singer ~
Dr. House
(Hugh Laurie) is changing his stethoscope for the microphone,
presenting his first studio disc 'Let Them Talk', a homage to the
Blues, in his world tour. The Spanish will have to wait a month and a
half, till the 26th of July, to enjoy his concert in the prestigious
Arteria Paral'lel of Barcelona.
I
knew he plays the piano very well, and had heard him sing sort of
casually in one of his 'Dr. House' episodes, but wasn't aware of his all
round musical talent. Perhaps it's because I am not much a fan of
House and therefore influence my interest in Hugh Laurie. I found the
House character irritating & exasperating. Eccentricity is poor
excuse for insufferable arrogance, egoistic behaviour, rudeness,
sarcasm and condescension towards all around him. His certain physical
inability & self inflicted addiction to drugs are not eligible for
being constantly nasty to co-workers and patients.
The
photo below was his show in Chile, last Tuesday. He pronounced: 'I
was not born in Alabama in 1890. I am British, of middle class
upbringing, trespassing openly the melodies and the music of the
mythical South of America.
That is obvious looking at this photo.
