The
world mourns the death of Neil Armstrong, 1st astronaut to set foot on
the Moon as Commandant of the Apolo 11 space mission, had passed away
yesterday at the age of 82, two weeks after a heart-bypass operation.
He had said at the time, in 1969, that '... a small step for the man but a gigantic jump for the humanity.' The scenes & sights he brought back are majestic, way beyond any visual experience ever recorded. The achievement of the mission simply defies any imagination.
Rest in peace Commandant Armstrong,
with eternal memory and gratitude
in the heart of all humanity.
with eternal memory and gratitude
in the heart of all humanity.
