So
far I have written about quite a few Blogs that's got something to do
with one's anatomy, eyes, ears, body shapes, as well as thoughts and
minds. I haven't touched on the nose yet. Never thought there's anything
worth talking about. Sure it sits right on the middle of our faces and
it's a very important part of us, but that sort of thing we just take
for granted, don't we?
Not
unless you are a wine taster, or someone whose profession is to sniff
out the best ingredients to make up the most alluring scents. Or a
serious chef who puts equal value on the aroma of the food as it's taste
. Or animals who depend on their keen sense of smell to warn them of
predators and other unseen dangers.
One's
nose is not always 100% effective though for all hidden dangers, like
eyesight not adequate to see germ. For instance, whether certain food
in one's fridge is on the point of going off. Fear not. There's now a
new invention from the United States, an electronic device called "
SensorFreshQ ". It would help you to tell whether any food is not as
fresh it looks, whether your rare steak is too rare and still with live
germs, or the fish you just bought is actually from yesterday's catch.
There's
no need for it to touch the food you want tested. It has several
control settings for different types of food, like meat, chicken, fish,
etc. You put it close to the meat or fish in the fridge and, in less
than a minute, the device would show up the colour: green for all clear
and safe; yellow for not perfectly fresh but still edible without
danger; and red means a definite No No, as it's contaminated and you
ought to chuck it out. A bit like warning of traffic lights.
The cost of this new invention is €99 , sold in the virtual shop 'PlanetaPluton', at: www.planetapluton.com with a 2 year guarantee.
I am not getting any commission for this , cross my heart. Just thought I would pass this bit of info. on in case some of you haven't come across it yet.
