I
learned something new again today. Although I have known and seen white
offspring from black parents or the other way around, it had never
occurred to me that pure white, or black parents, could produce twins of
different colours, one white and one black!

This result is due to a very precise and peculiar combination of circumstances:
1) The parents must be themselves each of a twin of different colour.
2)
The twins must belong to the same fraternity, that is, each is
conceived of a separate egg, fertilized at the same time by a separate
sperm (as opposed to identical twins conceived in the same egg by a
sperm).
3) That each pair of eggs & sperm should have the genes of the skin colour (black/black or white/white).
My motto of learning at least one thing new each day is now done for today. I can go and play for the rest of the day now.
