My Irrelevant Jumbled Thoughts

I have always had great curiosity, since early childhood, about the who, when, why, where or how of all sorts of things. This streak has never diminished, if any change at all, it increases with age. As I find that the older I get there are more things I am ignorant of or curious about. Some of these are not important or significant, but once I got a question mark on my mind it nags me mercilessly, and it will keep irking me on to find answers. Sometimes I would give up, but it would somehow, some day, when I least expected it, just pop up from nowhere all those what's, why's, who's and when's again.

Other times, when I am minding my own business and not thinking hard about any pending questions at all, answers might appear out of a blue in a variety of ways too! These moments are few but always wonderful. As if I have been given a gift quite unexpectedly. Today I found out who invented the vacuum cleaner. I know you are laughing at me now. Who really needs to know who was the person who suddenly decided that people shouldn't be crawling on the floor to clean it, but push a little contraption, gliding it on the floor while you practice the waltz steps like you see in the TV commercials?

Somebody did, and all of us are grateful. He was Azel Wenner-Gren (1881-1961), one of the richest man in the world, one of the most powerful magnate, most influential in the business field, in society and even in politics. But ...., this man's life is so colourful and his experiences and achievements so unusual and varied, he deserves more than jst a mere mention here. I will write about him a bit more some time.
