These sayings were meaningful not only in ancient times, they still have significance for us all today. I am not sure whether these are considered Chinese proverbs, sayings or quotations.
 
  • Study without reflection is a waste of time.
    Reflection without study is dangerous.
  • A man who has committed a mistake, and doesn't correct it, is committing another mistake.
  • When anger arises, think of the consequences.
  • Words are the voice of the heart.
  • Silence is a true friend who never betrays.
  • Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall.
  • When prosperity comes, do not use all of it.
  • He that would perfect his work must first sharpen his tools.
  • To know what is right and not to do it is the worst cowardice.
  • Everything has beauty but not everyone sees it.
