House of Straw ~
In
Selva, Mallorca, Spain, a house of being built using straw for all the
structural walls. Unlike the tale of the three little piggys, the man
who constructs the house is not a lazy slob, but someone intelligent
and enjoys a house that's resistant, healthy and respects the clean
environment. That's the principal a group of architects and builders
have been sticking to for years. They would only use natural and
traditional materials, from straw to white alkaline obtained by heating
calcium carbonate at high temperature (also used in agriculture), clay
or cane, as alternative to concrete.These days they are united in
Barcelona for a convention about bio-architecture. The bales to elevate

still belongs to the minority of countries to such construction
opening paths in countries like Germany, Austria and Italy, which had
been invited to the congress.

lady friend saw this Blog just when I was ready to post it, and said
that I spoiled the photo putting my own negative view on it, as she
things millions of people, especially ladies, would die to have it, and
wear it; having a dream is better than nothing, etc. She must be
kidding. How can anybody, women or men, could be so unimaginative and
naive to dream only of flashy ornaments? That's what the ring is,
nothing more, if the only purpose is to have it round one's finger.
