I
have a very bad habit, or I should make it sound better that I have
never cultivated the good habit - of reading back anything I have
written. I mean anything & everything, letters, important
application forms, whatever ... I write a lot of Blogs, but as soon they
are written I never read back to check likely typing errors except
recently, when glancing over some if any title suggested something to me
that I might want to keep so they won't die with Multiply. Doing that,
most reluctantly, I did discover a few I wished to keep, and a few
others I wondered why I never did something about, like the one I am
re-posting here, because I want to find out what I said I should, and
didn't ...!! If any of you guys do use the Labs, would you kindly pass
on your opinion of it? And the How-To maybe?

Google has just launched their Gmail Labs, in 49 languages, with tools to improve and personalize your incoming mail. What excites most, especially to me, is not at all to do with it's capacity of the multi-languages; with just English, Spanish, Chinese and German, I am already happy enough. I am overjoyed about this because I have been, for nearly as long as I can remember, having constant difficulty with the connection problem where I live, Roses, Spain. Most unreliable to say the least. It comes and goes, more often off than on. (That was in 2009, now much improved)
What is new (to me) and surprising, is that users can do most of their up to now online tasks without being online. No Internet connection is necessary. You can reach and check Email, create messages, working as you usually do offline, and when you are connected, all the changes you have made would be automatically synchronised and updated in all areas or files of achieves. (I have never done this, but I supposed everyone else has!!!)
I don't personally see the great necessity or advantage, but you can also change your mind after clicking on the 'Send' button, if it's within 5 seconds, to cancel the 'send' action. For instance, your Email says your are sending an attachment but you suddenly realize you have forgotten to include it. (That I must admit I have done more than a few times, but usually took longer than 5 seconds to discover the omission!)
Although I have had a Gmail account for a couple of years, I nearly never use it, more used to Yahoo. But I will definitely check out Gmail Labs now. (Now why did I say that and didn't bother to do it???)
