It
has always been known that chimpanzees are highly intelligent, but up
till now, the ability to make a fire and able to control it is
characteristic supposedly exclusively to human. Not so!
Kanzi,
a pigmy chimpanzee in the Centre of Des Moines, United States, has
proven that presumption wrong. He knows how to strike a match, make a
fire with dried twigs and leaves and, as shown in the photos, he was
cooking himself a hamburger!
Besides, he also knows how to fabricate and use tools, as well as communicate with people via a special keyboard.
