Bet
very few people have, for fun or spot, throw a toilet to see how fast
and far they can get it to land on the ground. I guess many of us do
occasionally, through extreme anger or sheer frustration, throw
something against the wall, down the floor, or even at someone; a book, a plate, a
vast, a pillow ... surely it won't occurred to anyone to throw a
toilet bowl. The Royal Prince Alejandro of Holland did, yesterday, the
Day of the Queen, a national festival in Holland.
Sadly, this year without the presence of Prince Friso who most likely has to spend the rest of his life in coma, after the accident in February when he was buried in a sudden avalanche of snow. The royal family had decided to celebrate the tradition forgetting just for one day the very painful tragedy.
The
photo below shows Prince Alejandro throwing the toilet bowl with almost
elegant athletic stance, while the Princesses Maxima and Annette
participated in a race of crazy cars laughing themselves silly. Mark
Rutte, the Prime Minister in his televised speech to the nation said
that 'Today we are thinking specially of Prince Friso and his family
...' before he wished the Dutch subjects a happy and relaxing day.
The
Day of the Queen is on the 30th of April, birthday of Queen Juliana,
and the whole of Holland is tinted with the colour orange in all it's
varied adornments, even the toilet, the colour of the House of Orange.
