The film actor Bradley
Cooper tops the list as 'The Sexiest Man In the World' in the
prestigious magazine 'People'. The said publication describes Bradley
as having a smile of a 'Matador' (I will be rendered more by less
sinister, mesmerising smile than a killer's) and 'dazzling' blue eyes,
(sincere and friendly eyes whatever colour would do for me), although
the modest Bradley himself said that he doesn't have features or
characteristics of a model, and his looks are just 'decent'. Ah, decent;
that's attractive too. I guess what he really meant was 'normal'
rather than 'decent', because anything less than decent would be
unthinkable.
But
the quality of sexiness, how can anybody determine by just a photo of
a person. In an image the look of the person is fixed, flat and still.
One can't appreciate the subtle and ever so slightly suggestive
gestures, the hinting expression that tells more than words, the
come-hither look that seduces the person in front ... In any case,
these titles are given approximately, loosely, and the description of
the 'most sexy' means simply 'very sexy'. Because, the 'most sexy
person in the world, man or woman, is absolutely impossible for anyone
to know.
Taken
into account then these 'titled' people are usually known public
figures, habitually more or less winners in some field, and with a good
social curriculum. Or that the title is never received by a chemist
that works in a tightly confined laboratory, nor a Pizza delivery man,
nor a neighbour on the 3rd floor of a suburban dwelling. In fact, the
superlative 'the most' sex, most intelligent, most beautiful any
person or any thing, is but a publicity formula to distinguish someone
or something amongst many. No more, No less.
My
question is: If Brad Pitt, Mel Gibson and other formerly such title
bearer have now lost their quality of sexiness? And, is this quality
always disappears each year with a new vote?
